Why Dressing Technology Matters:
All “Alginates” Are Not Created Equal

MARCH 12, 2021, 7:00AM – 7:50AM EST
Alginate or other fiber gelling dressings are defined for reimbursement purposes as “absorbent dressings that manage moderately- to highly-exudative full-thickness wounds” and “are composed of a multi-layer or multicomponent structure with either alginate or gelling fiber as the predominant component.” Although a wide range of wound care dressings are classified in this reimbursement category, these dressings are not clinically interchangeable.

This session will focus on the importance of understanding the technology underlying the features that help dressings provide effective exudate and wound management. The discussion will be enhanced with clinical cases providing real-world evidence.
